Rapture Movement

The Rapture Movement started as the Mage's Temple rose in power. Witches became a much more common sight as well, sending a public hatred towards the less understood magics. As a result several clerics of Christiana for reasons that could have concerned dissolving the power of the Mage's Temple or a legitimate fear of magic users began a movement that promoted hate towards all things magic. It is said that the Faeries are the only ones who should be twisting the fabric of reality and using the flow of magic, a right set alone for gods to use.

The guild started very shortly after the initial movement, keeping the name Rapture after a clerics speech about the subject, stating that those who use magic will be cast aside when the gates open.

Soldiers began to come from all over to enlist in the Purge of magic, the prime target being the Battle Mages of the Temple who are a symbol of Magic use everywhere. Swords built of dark crystal that destroy magic in the air were gifted to higher members for cutting magic users from their only source of defense. The movement is still in debate as the violence continues to climb and members of the movement have been caught in destruction of magic aligned towns.
